I do realize this thread will make much more sense to people who have actually played CK2.but.
So for example if you want your faction ( barony, duchy, kingdom or empire) to be called England in the case of a Kingdom, you would have to militarily gain and posses 51% of its De Jure regions or provinces, in this case Duchies such as Duchy of Cornwall, Lancaster, Suffolk, York etc. if you control the land they historically occupied.
You can even hold multiple titles such as be a king of lets say both England and France. provided you control the ''De Jure'' (or historically correct) land, regions or provinces it held. since in the CK2 political system your faction is called what you want it to be called. It would most defiantly eliminate the need for constant talk over the forum on which factions should be in the next TW game, also huge game unofficial modification to create new factions. I think CK2 has some great material that TW developers could use. how awesome would it be if the political system from CK2 merged with a beautiful TW game lets say in the medieval era.
So the sole purpose of this thread is to try and explore the possibility of merging a Total War game with some elements of the Crusader Kings 2 game (that is by the developers in the development stage).
